Erin was hoping to have some family photos taken in Port Moody of her whole family together to decorate their family home. I was so happy when Erin got in touch and mentioned what her goal was: to capture her family naturally and turn those photos into personalized art for their walls. I could totally relate too, as being a mom of two myself, I often feel like we could use an updated family photo around too!
It’s so easy to capture photos of your kids with your smartphone camera these days (hey, I do it too), but it’s virtually impossible to get the whole family together for those shots. And even harder to get awesome photographs that are worthy to print and hang on the wall.
Sometimes the perfect family photo is of everyone looking at the camera.
Sometimes it’s of everyone simply looking nice together, and other times, it’s that moment before The Perfect Photo, that I like best!
The Real Family Photo! The chaos before the perfect moment. Because it’s real. Mom knows it. Dad knows it. I know it too.
And in the end, the kids will love it too, as it will make for a great story in the future and that what’s it’s all about- holding on to and sharing these family stories now and again and again…
